*1979 - Started his racing career at Western
Speedway in April at the age of 16. He competed in the Demo Car class.
In his first race, he won the Best Appearing Car award and was 2nd in
the Main Event.
*1980 - Won the Total Destruction Championship
*1981 - Champion driver in the Demo Car Division at Western Speedway.
He also successfully completed triple decker crash dives.
*1982 - Drove a Hobby Stock car sponsored by the Hoagie Hut. He also drove
a Late Model Stock Car.
*1984 - Was part of a three-car team competing for the first time at the
Pacific National Exhibition in Vancouver. They won the championship.
*1985 - Again competed at the P.N.E. and won the championship.
*1986 - Third year in a row winners at the P.N.E. Also competed in rollover
contests using a big Ford stationwagon.
*1987 - The team was second overall at the P.N.E.
*1988 - Received the Most Aggressive Driver award at the P.N.E. Also won
the Filomi Days Demo event at Port Hardy.
*1989 - Won the Spanaway Speedway $1,000 Total Destruction race on July
4th and followed up by winning the $1,000 Total Destruction race at Monroe,
Washington the same weekend.
*1991 - Was Demo Car Champion in the Hit-to-pass Division at Western Speedway.
*1992 - Was instrumental in bringing the Can/Am Demo Challenge to Western.
*1995 - Won the Mini-Demo Championship for the year.
*2000 - Loghouse Pub driver of the week; raised $1,500 for charity by
having his head shaved; Demo Truck Championship Race winner; and Fan Favourite
Award in Geared for Racing Magazine.
*2001 - Won five Demo Truck Main Events including two clean sweeps at
Western Speedway.

*He was one of the original four figure-8 cars
*He was one of the original four Demo Trucks.
*Holder of track record for demo vehicles at Western Speedway at 18.791
*Has won over 300 trophies in his 22 years of racing.
*Served as flagman at Western Speedway for 2 years.
*Won Popular Driver award 3 times
*Won Sportsman of the Year award twice
*Was named L.I.T.R.A Member of the Year twice
